ONE Event is an annual Christian festival, drawing thousands to the Lincolnshire Showground over the autumn bank holiday weekend to camp together in hundreds of tents, sharing access to a small army of portable toilets and showers.
2020 presented a bit of a challenge!

Determined to still put on a show and gather together, Ground Level decided to go all out in putting on a live studio version of the event from the showground, with programming over the weekend hosted on YouTube Live and their website.
Peachy Events built an incredible set along with socially-distanced workstations for the crew.
Working with Alive Media as a part of the video production for the streamed event, we recorded a set of worship songs on site to play back over the weekend. Socially distanced in the fields where thousands would usually be gathering; it was an image that really worked to bring us together despite only being able to tune in online.

Plugged-In AV did an amazing job of capturing audio over a couple of pretty windy evenings. Meanwhile I headed up a volunteer team to capture video. We pooled our resources to pull together a set of DSLR and mirrorless cameras and made it happen, ending up with a real assortment of cameras from Canon, Sony and Panasonic. I spent a good amount of time before the shoot setting each up to capture as similar and neutral an image as possible, so it took just a bit of colour curves massaging to match them up.
The colour grade doubled down on conforming colours, focusing in on skin tone and a warm green.

Despite the pandemic, thousands were still able to gather and celebrate online. Here's a short section from one of the songs, 'Here Again':
